The Husband had a much needed heart-to-heart after the kids went to bed. You know those moments in a marriage when you can hold it in or let it out? Well, we let it out and I’m glad we did.

Saturday

I spent the morning at the gym judging for the CrossFit open. This guy came with me and had a blast…

I also snuck in my attempt at the workout and completed what I could as prescribed, which included 25 toes-to-bars and 50 double unders — two things I once couldn’t do.

When I got home I finally organized the pantry, something that’s been looooong overdue.

Saturday night The Husband and I got a sitter, went out for Sushi and saw “Creed” at the cheapo theater. We had a blast!

Sunday 

My day started bright and early when The 4-Year-Old threw up in my bed. That wasn’t awesome but cuddling on the couch with him afterwards and watching a movie was.

I finally peeled my butt off the couch and started my Sunday cook-fest.

I make a ton of hard boiled eggs for the week — the kids and I eat them with breakfast and The Husband likes to make egg salad — bacon and eggs for today’s breakfast and a pot of my new chili idea for lunches throughout the week.

I also made a quick avocado quesadilla that I will be sharing on the California Avocado Commission site this month.

It came out delicious! And I now have my two recipe ideas done for them. I just need to write the posts.

Mid-day this guy feel asleep watching cartoons. He really didn’t feel well.

While he was sleeping the Husband and I cleaned out our bathroom cupboards and did a few more chores with The 10-Year-Old. Then we all took a short nap. Well, The Husband and I did. The 10-Year-Old played, yup you guessed it, Minecraft.

When I got up I lounged around for bit, threw dinner in the oven and finally got my butt out the door for a run.

I ran to a local trail spot and got to see a bunch of deer.

It was a great run and I’m already getting more comfortable about my half in May.

When I got home I pulled this out of the oven.

Don’t let my few food photos fool you. What I didn’t share was the leftover pizza I ate for lunch and the handful of chocolate chips I enjoyed after dinner because I just wanted something sweet.

So much for my Whole30-esque run. I’m just not in the right state of mind currently.

But it’s all good. I’ve been feeling pretty fabulous lately and I’m killing it at the gym. I think I hit like 3 PRs last week and I almost completed 3 dead hang pull ups in a row! I’m going to try again tomorrow. If I can do it you you bet I’ll be posting a video!

That’s it for me tonight. Sorry I’ve been MIA. It’s been crazy in these parts lately.
