Photos From a Snowy Sensational Sunday

We survived the Blizzard of 2016!

Now that it’s all said and done we have about 2 and a half feet out there. It’s a bit crazy. The Husband and I shoveled and shoveled and shoveled!

Our neighbor helped at the end with his snowblower and we were ecstatic to get a break.

The kids? They didn’t need a break. They were loving it!

We haven’t left the house in the last 2 days. We pretty much eat, shovel, eat again, and then lounge around all day.

I can’t lie. It’s been pretty fantastic!

Tomorrow I’ll be headed to the gym to man some open hours. The kids are off and probably will be for at least 2 more days. The roads are mess and I’m sure lots of side roads haven’t even been plowed yet.

I have been cooking lots and staying pretty much committed to Whole30 but I for sure ate more than I have been being stuck in the house so long. This morning I had fun with breakfast and made butternut squash cakes.

They were fantastic — click here for the recipe.

I’m signing off early again tonight to watch X-Files. The Husband and I couldn’t be more excited. We’ve been having college flashbacks all day just in anticipation.
