A Laptop-Free Sensational Sunday

I had the best weekend!

It all kicked off with a movie Friday night. A movie that I was enjoying (Spy) but my tired body took over and I was sleeping about half-way through.

It was all good though, The Husband and I still got to spend some time together just hanging out. And truth be told, I needed the sleep!

Saturday was competition day!

It didn’t start until noon but both boys had soccer games beforehand. So The Husband and I had to play a bit of kid hand off before I could make it to the competition.

My gym had three teams competing so we had a nice little tailgate area set up.

Lots of members came out to support us and we even had out own personal chef!

That’s my friend Ray. His wife, Rachel was on my awesome team of bad-ass women.

We did amazing! There was only one workout that threw us for a loop with logistics and it ended up knocking us out of the running to make the finals.

We were the fifth female team and 10th overall out of 42 male and female scaled teams.

I was really proud of us! We did great and it was really, REALLY, fun!

After the competition we headed to a friend’s house for some pizza and a bonfire. I was exhausted!

Sunday morning was a whirlwind. The kids and I had a lazy morning. I didn’t do any prep or cleaning at all. We just hung out and had breakfast before I headed to work at 10 a.m.

I had a few things to get done at the gym before yoga at noon. I missed the first half of class but still got in a little stretching.

Afterwards I went to a lunch with a friend then swung by the house to pick up Ryan for some bowling. I wanted  the whole family to come but Evan was still battling a fever since Friday night.

We cuddled the rest of the afternoon until dinner.

That’s when I realized I forgot my laptop at work and decided it was for the best. The rest of my Sunday was tending to a sick 4-year old, making dinner and watching The Walking Dead with The Husband.

I didn’t need to do anything else. It was perfect.
